Rycroft

Project: Frac Sand Transload Facility
Location: Rycroft, Alberta
Client: Devco Developments

Description: Cariboo Rail was commissioned to build a yard facility for transloading frac sand from rail car to truck transport for the oil & gas industry. Phase 1 of this facility consisted of 3,000 meters of ladder track, 2 mainline switches, and 3 yard switches. Phase 2 will be completed in 2014 doubling the size of the facility for a total of 6,000 meters of track and 6 yard switches.

Reno

Project: Oil Transload Facility
Location: Reno, Alberta
Client: Savac Canac

Description: Cariboo Rail was consulted and awarded the construction of the yard facility for transloading oil from truck to railcar for shipment to refineries in North America. Phase 1 of the project consisted of 7,000 meters yard track, 2 mainline switches and 12 yard switches. Phase 2 planned for 2014/2015 effectively doubles the size of the facility.

Wembly

Project: Frac Sand Transload Facility
Location: Wembly, Alberta
Client: Source Energy

Description: Cariboo Rail was awarded the construction of a loop track design yard facility for transloading frac sand from railcar to truck transport. This facility will have the capacity to unload unit trains of product for transloading. Phase 2 will consist of an additional loop track with crossover switches to increase efficiencies.


Nelson

Project:CWR Rail Program
Location:Nelson, British Columbia
Client:Canadian Pacific Railway


Description: Cariboo Rail completed the rail replacement of 32,000 metres of continuous welded rail in the mountainous regions of British Columbia. Project challenges included 1,400 metre bridge, numerous tunnels and some of the highest grade locations in Canada (4.5 degrees).
